How nice but the stories about witches, mages, dwarves, elves and a whole wall full of mythical creatures are? And what a pity it is, however, that ultimately none of this is true? Still fascinated by the stories of millions of people.
I have taken refuge this weekend in this little dream worlds where magic is the very ordinary. It feels really good sometimes just a fantastic story to engage and to dream of a world beyond ours. Long enough to spin it in my head ideas for more great stories, who knows the world and yet not know. Because with each new story we discover somewhere a bit of an old, already seen before action. But this does not detract from all that, on the contrary - as long as the narrative fits with the rest of the plot, but it adds so much the better.
Again and again I wonder also how all these stories of the human brain have arisen. On the part of science fiction, there are spaceships, aliens - whether furry or slimy - lightsabers and laser guns. The mystical side promoted all sorts of mythical creatures, magic wands, magic potions and the like. Whether
armed with a sword or a mystical artifact, the heroes simply defy any danger. They all have something in common: the courage! Courageous and strong heroes get in the end that is from the beautiful woman. It pays not to be all too evil and mean.
How far because the vastness of the imagination? Are there limits to the imagination, and if so, where can I put this? 'Can any man fantasy worlds created, and if so, why does not everyone then? This failure probably cancel each brain researchers and psychologists, all the sails, because what can the human brain, as we all are in agreement only in one: the head is a lot!
But honestly, who wants evidence that each human being has a how to write novel Tolkin or Rowling? Must be because each of us a second Lucas? I on my part would certainly like a great writer of our time. But I would also like a great actor, brilliant singer / rock star, a great politician who can really change the world, a savior without fads, the next great philosopher, ... - The list is long.
Looking back, we do not want all these fantasies only one thing: a happy ending, which moves us to tears! And we get, almost as a bonus to the many hours that we sacrifice the stories, the pages we turn over, the DVDs that we stop. We look to our Lord of the Rings sword on the wall and the collection of Harry Potter magic wand on the shelf and are pleased that there are worlds in which the good can always triumph over evil and is.
